Poem: Wild Abandon

Here is a poem I wrote for the January Mini-Challenge over at [community profile] kink_bingo. We were to remix a work--our own or someone else's. I chose to do a poem inspired by a fic I wrote called Keep Traveling On, wherein doctor!Nate falls in love with werewolf!Eliot.

Pairing: Nate/werewolf!Eliot
Prompt: Animal play

Colliding, they fall, a tangle of limbs in dead of night.
Nate settles into the grass, his hand tentatively reaching up
to stroke damp fur.

He gazes into clear blue eyes and inhales deeply.
This stunning creature—raw and wild, yet noble pervades
his dreams and his senses.

And he embraces it with wild abandon.

I really like how you described details instead of acts. I serves to create a flurry of impressions instead of a narrative, which is what I love about poems. Well, certain kinds of poems - ones that relate a feeling or motion or truth rather than a story.
