Lost:: Dr. Linus (spoilers)

I felt all nostalgic as the Losties and company headed back to the beach. The music, the reunion montage as Jack, Hurley, and Richard walked around the corner into view, the setting up of the lean-to shelters. Yeah, it was like old times. I'm like weepy with nostalgia right now.

The Ben/Ilana scenes went really well. I especially liked Ben's explanation about why he killed Jacob (coupled with the flash-sideways of him making a choice that would save Alex this time), as well as Ilana's declaration that she would have him. I wasn't sure about her at first, but she won me over with that scene.

Speaking of the flash-sideways, it was nice to see that Ben apparently has a better relationship with Roger in this world (and it was a nice touch that he was changing Roger's oxygen tank as they speculated about how much better life would have been on the island). And yay for Artz (or however you spell it).

I LOVED the scene with Jack and Richard. Jack is kicking ass this season. I loved his faith--John would be so pleased--in his destiny on the island now. And I love that Richard, so lost and empty, seems to have leaped on board the Jack bandwagon. He's like a wounded puppy. I mean, seriously. Richard trying to commit suicide-by-Jack? Wow. That might have been my favorite scene in the whole episode. And hello, the Black Rock! More evidence that Richard arrived on it?

And it's interesting that Ilana still seems interested in protecting Sayid. I guess the fact that he (and Sawyer) have run off and joined up with Flocke doesn't preclude them from being candidates. I still think there's hope for both of them. I live in hope, especially when the guys are hot.

And LOL at Miles with the diamond. The man has no shame.

And Widmore! D'oh! I wonder whose side he'll come down on. Flocke's? Ilana's? His own? I'm guessing it was him who Jacob wanted brought to the island.

And can Flocke be any creepier???

And am I the only one who's expecting a Lostie or someone else we know to drop dead soon? We've only got 9 episodes left. I'm steeling myself for mass carnage.
