Criminal Minds premiere

Reid: Our boy has grown up into a season FBI agent, hasn't he? He was all calm and in control during the stand-off with the crazy guy. I was digging it. I've been rewatching a lot of Seasons 1 and 2, and seeing him now really brings home how insecure and naive he was early on.

Hotch: Oh, Hotch is going to be a mess all season! I was surprised at how the Foyet story unfolded. I expected a big stand-off to save Hotch and all that, but they threw a curve at me. Foyet got into Hotch's (and to a degree, Morgan's) head and messed around for a while and then disappeared again. *shiver* And the scene between Foyet and Hotch, when Foyet took off his shirt and started stabbing Hotch... yikes! Like I said, Hotch is going to be a mess. And knowing him, he'll internalize everything until he has an epic meltdown. I loved the scene between him and Rossi at the end. I was waiting for Rossi to show up as the stabilizing influence for Hotch. I would have been disappointed if he hadn't. They really have a great rapport with each other, and like I've said before, Hotch allows himself to be more vulnerable when he's with Rossi than he does with anyone else.

I may have more to say later, but right now, I'm far too boing boing boing.
