Okay, here's my Wolverine review

First off, I know that some people will bitch and complain about it not being 100% pristine and diverged from comic canon. Yes, the movie was clunky in places, and yes, it chewed the heck out of comic canon. These things should be a foregone conclusion for anyone who has seen an X-Men film. But... I enjoyed it.

Some specifics:

Sabretooth: Whatever else people might have to say about the movie, Liev Schreiber was outstanding as Victor Creed. Now, he's far different from the Sabretooth we saw in the first X-Men movie (which I think is a good thing). This Creed is much more developed as a character, and is more menacing and believable as the scary-ass villain he is in the comic books.

Logan's Origin Story: I knew the origin story would be different in a few places, but I wasn't pleased with the rationale for him getting the adamantium and for losing his memories. So thumbs down on that. And I felt no chemistry between him and Silverfox. I loved the war montage at the beginning, though.

Deadpool: This is the main thing I took issue with in the film. While Deadpool has never been a favorite of mine, I don't like the idea of him being a unspeaking zombie. He's The Merc with the Mouth. He babbles and annoys everyone, and that's the way he was portrayed at the beginning. I didn't see any reason to change that. If they are going to press forward and do a Deadpool movie, I want a motor-mouth Ryan Reynolds behind that mask.

Dominic Monaghan's Character: Dom wasn't in this movie nearly enough! *fumes* LOL! Seriously, though, I wanted more of him. He basically played a redshirt. He was listed as playing Chris Bradley (Bolt), a character who was killed off in the comics years ago. The character wasn't really Bolt, though (which was fine--I liked this guy better). I found myself really liking the character bits Dom gave us before Sabretooth knocked Bolt off.

Gambit: First of all... he was WORTH THE MOVIE! Ahem. Yeah, I'm a Gambit fangirl, STFU! He wasn't in it for very long, but it was enough to make me salivate for either a future X-Men appearance or... dare I hope for it??? A Gambit movie. I would implode, you guys. It would be awesome.

Also Notable: Kevin Durand (Keamy for my LOST peeps) was terrific as The Blob. I also enjoyed the Cyclops appearance. No thanks on the Emma Frost front, though. WTF were they doing, making her related to Silverfox??? Random much?

Professor Xavier: Yes, he makes an appearance! :D I was totally surprised, and I've heard buzz that they're going to try and make the X-Men: First Class film.

Stay until the Credits End: There are at least two extra scenes floating around. One with Logan in a bar, and one with Deadpool.
