I think it kind of goes without saying that regardless of the success or non-success of our campaign to save SGA, I'll still be in the Stargate fandom, regardless. If there is indeed a new show, I'll support that. If there are movies, I'll support those. If there's nothing, I'll support the fandom anyway. I'm still supporting SG-1. Cancellation didn't change that one bit.
Also, I'll continue to support the actors in whatever they do. Steven Culp has had my support since the 1990s, and that didn't change with the characters he played getting killed off or the shows he was on getting canceled. I plan on supporting Amanda in Sanctuary (and of course hoping that Kavan shows up at least in a recurring capacity). And I'm planning on watching Burn Notice for Michael tonight. I'm a fan. It's what I do.
That said, I'm not ready to give up just yet. ;)
If you haven't, join

And like I said in my previous post, please don't bash on Stargate Universe. I saw a lot of bashing on Stargate: Atlantis after SG-1 was canceled, and that's just not right. It's all the same fandom, and as long as the fandom persists, we have a shot at seeing our old favorites pop up.
And yes, you're going to be seeing a lot more pro-SGA posts on my LJ and on the LJs of half my flist. That's just the way it is.

And now for a meme:
1. Comment on this post.
2. I will tell you a letter.
3. Think of 5 (or more if you want) book, TV, or movie characters and post their names and your comments on these characters in your LJ.
All right. I was given an L by

Lorne, Major Evan: No one saw this coming, right? :) Lorne is a character who means a lot to me. Maybe it's the "everyman" quality in the character, or maybe it's the potential I see. I love his snark and his calm, efficient way getting his job done. He's just a great character, and I hope he lives on in movies or even a new spin-off.
LeBeau, Remy: The recent mucking up of his character non-withstanding, I love this guy. He has the Southern rogue swagger I like so well, but he goes beyond that and demonstrates a deeper complexity of character. And his power is cool. :D
Linus, Ben: I've heard some bitch that he's taken over the show, but I have to say... He's the reason I still watch. I would have bailed long ago were it not for the complexities and depth portrayed by Michael Emerson. His storyline is ten times more interesting than anything that will ever happen to Jack Shepard.
Linus Van Pelt: I'll admit that next to Snoopy, Linus was my favorite Peanuts character. There's just something about the earnestness of his character that I love. Yes, the little nutjob sits in a pumpkin patch ever year to wait for the Great Pumpkin. But he does it with conviction!
Leo Wyatt: Charmed was another show that meant a lot to me, and out of the whole cast, it was Piper and Leo (and their son Chris) who I found the most compelling. Leo's love for Piper and the requisite angst that accompanied it ripped my heart out several times.
I did look through my books, btw, but I couldn't find one character who's name started with L. I'm probably forgetting somebody really obvious.
