Yadda, yadda, yadda

It's been a weird day. I'm not feeling very well, and my sleeping is still hit and miss. I decided to start rewatching Season 1 of LOST. I had forgotten how amazing it was--everyone getting to know each other, Sun's interaction with Jin and Michael, Michael and Jack before they went emo, early Sayid/Sawyer sparring, Boone. The only thing missing is Ben. :)

I need to go icon hunting. I can't find half the LOST icons I had saved before my computer went 'splodey. I need a Sayid, a Ben, and a Sawyer.

I am just now waiting for Doctor Who. I have really got to stop skimming reaction posts for opinions, because I am totally unsure what to expect on this one. I have seen everything from capslock rage posts to over-the-top giddiness. I have no idea what the hell happens in the episode, but I do know that fan reaction has been divided.

Well, I went to bed earlier, but I just woke up again. So I think I'll watch another episode of LOST while I wait for Who.

Ohio drivers and me vs. insomnia

I think every idiot driver in NE Ohio was in front of me today. Grr.

I went out for gas and groceries, and I realized I was close to the ice cream stand, so I decided to treat myself to a cheese coney. It doesn't seem like summer without a cheese coney (and fair fries and funnel cakes, but those will come later, hopefully).

Anyway, everyone was driving at a snail's pace. I got behind this one guy--you know the kind...drives a convertible he probably got during a mid-life crisis...thinks he's badass because of said convertible--yeah, he was driving 10-15 miles under the speed limit for most of the way, and we were in a no-pass lane, so I couldn't get around him until we got to a main drag.

Anyway, I'm hoping my writing mojo reaches me soon. I missed the deadline for a challenge I wanted to post a story in. I'll probably still post the story if I can finish it, or I'll rework it for the new challenge. Still, I find it frustrating that I'm on break, but I can't get enough sleep to write.

Anyway, enough bitching. I'm watching Doctor Who finally. I'll let you all know what I think.

And I am so turning on the a/c, despite the fact it makes me cough. It is way too stifling in here.

Stuff and a meme

Okay, everybody hold onto something.

I'm going to cook tonight. I'm making a taco-type dish (tacos with rice but without the shell). I actually quite like to cook, but I'm usually on the run, so it's not practical for me to make a full meal every night. I'll let you all know how it turns out!
