Dawson's Creek

I just watched "The Long Goodbye." This is only the second time I've seen this episode, but it's still no easier to watch.
This is the episode that deals with Mitch Leery's death. I lost my own father, so this episode dredged up a lot of memories. I have to say, during its run, the writers of DC only killed off two major characters, and both times, they did a fine job. Dawson's breakdown at the market, the little flashbacks, Joey's feelings of helplessness, the answering machine... just little details, but they nailed what it means to lose someone.
My favorite part was either Dawson breaking down or Pacey taking him to the scene of the accident.
At least Mitch got a better send-off than Jonathan Kent.
And now, I think I'll pull myself out of the numbing depression that episode put me in by watching X-Men: The Last Stand. I finally got it.
