Stargate: Atlantis--"Outcast"

First of all, go and check out my profile. I got a new Lorne and Chuck lovebar!!!
Now for tonight's fantastic episode!!!
My thoughts:
John/Rodney: I'm so glad the writers explained why Rodney didn't accompany John to Earth. That's something I was concerned about, given the depth of the relationship between the two men. The scene between them was well-done with just the right amount of awkward.
John/Ronon: I liked the way Ronon simply showed up unannounced to accompany John home. There was no suggestion or debate, just support without being asked. Obviously, Ronon had to be the one to go with John for the action-adventure part of the story to work, but the personal interaction between them was golden. One of my favorite shots was when John was with his father's body, and Ronon appeared outside and slipped away quietly so John could be alone.
Hot Outfits: If going to Earth means that Ronon will dress in those tight little pants and black shirts more often, I say we do an Earthside episode once a month!
Dave: Doug Witter is John's brother! When Dave was initially introduced, I was concerned that he would be painted with the "bad guy" brush, but at the end of the funeral conversation, it was obvious that Dave wasn't just a greedy son of a bitch, but a man who had been an active and invested part of his father's life and was hurt and confused by his brother's absence.
Nancy: I liked the dynamic between her and John. They seem like exes, if that makes any sense. I have a feeling we'll eventually see her again, and I'm all right with that. She gave us a bit of insight into John. I liked her comment to him when he said that she knows him. She said something like, "That's what worries me." Great snapshot of John there. I immediately flashed back to his tower-climbing episode in "Quarantine."
Bates: It was good to see him again! He was looking handsome, and he's toned down the jerk attitude he had in Season 1.
Ava: I called Replicator!Ava as soon as John and Ronon arrested Poole. Again, we'll probably see her again.
Dr. Lee: Yay! They characterized him as a brilliant and competent scientist who is a go-to person for the difficult problems. And he didn't cower or bungle one time!
Next Week: If this was going to be a Rodney/Sam snarky interaction episode, I would be on board. But no. They have to involve Keller. Sigh.
