Stargate: Atlantis--"Quarantine"

"Quarantine" is one of those episodes that was great in concept, but was lacking in execution. It could have been brilliant and could have given us a real chance to get to know these characters. However, it faltered quite a bit and was only just good. After last week's amazing episode, this one was a disappointment.
What I Liked
* Okay, first of all--LORNE!!! Yes, the dimples were back, and they were packing C4. :D
* Chuck actually got to do stuff!
* Radek got to save the day!
* John got to climb a tower! Crazy son of a bitch! *excuse me while I melt*
* Lorne/Sheppard interaction. I liked their little C4 exchange.
* The early part of the Rodney/Katie interaction was quite nice.
* John telling Teyla that everyone would look after the baby.
* I like that we did get the little character bit about Radek and his pigeons.
What I Didn't Like
* Not enough Lorne or Chuck. We could have learned more about them but instead, we were treated to Keller's life story. Bah!
* They just had to make Radek look like a bungling moron next to the great Samantha Carter. The man is the number two scientist in the freaking city of the Ancients. I'm pretty sure he knows his stuff. He was never this insecure and clumsy in earlier seasons.
* We got lots of character info on Rodney, who we already have loads of character info on, as well as Ronon and Keller. But John and Lorne? Nope. They were relegated to the status of action heroes. I wanted some kind of character bits, but they always seem to fall back on the soldier thing with these two (with the exception of last week's ep, where we actually did get good character bits from them both). I mean, we did get the John/Teyla bits, but we really didn't learn anything new.
* Super!Sam. Need I say more? And I'm sure she would have saved the universe if it hadn't been for Radek. *rolls eyes*
* Okay, so I waited the whole episode for Rodney to propose, and they...break up?!?:!?! WTF?!?! I was sitting there thinking about how they suited each other, and they freaking break up?!
Thing that Made Me Want to Bludgeon my Head with a Wall
* Ronon/Keller. NOOOOOOO!!! ^#%%^*#!!! Okay, I knew it was coming, but it was even worse in the episode than I pictured it. Boo hoo, Dr. Keller. You've never fit in. Cry me a damn river. And Ronon's little "I was wrong about you" speech? Those were the words of a man who hasn't had sex in a long time and wants to get laid. Come on! But the worst part of it? Ronon admited that Keller reminds him of his late girlfriend!!! How healthy a start of a relationship is that? He's hooking up with a chick who reminds him of his dead ex.
We need Carson back, stat!
