A hodgepodge of stuff
Nov. 23rd, 2010 09:53 pmI'm a little behind in some comments. I'll try to get to them tomorrow night while I'm constructing some kind of dessert for my family's Thanksgiving festivities. I'm looking forward to the holidays. I hope to get at least one story finished and posted. I really feel frayed and frustrated if I can't write on a regular basis.

In the meantime, here's another call for Christmas cards. I'll probably send them out in early December, so if you want one, leave me your address at the linked post. Also, let me know if you'd rather have something other than "Christmas" (Yule, Hanukkah, Happy Holidays, etc.). Comments are screened on the linked post.

Feeling relieved now that my thesis adviser has gotten back to me about writing a recommendation letter. There is so much to do and so little time. I hope this all pays off and I get to head off to the PhD program soon. My gypsy nature is starting to flare up, and my restless spirit is telling me that now is the time to move onto the next phase of my academic life. I somehow managed to freak out my cousin, though. Apparently I posted something on Facebook that led her to believe I had already bailed on Ohio and moved to another state.

Oh, wow. I want to know more about Eliot's past in the military--especially the sequence of events that led to him becoming a retrieval specialist. I would also like to know more about the period where Nate was still an insurance investigator and was chasing Eliot. You know there's a story there somewhere.
