Movie question
Jan. 4th, 2009 03:32 pmOkay, In the course of looking for Steve Earle's "Galway Girl" on YouTube, I recently became aware that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is in P. S. I Love You. I knew that Gerard Butler and James Marsters were in the movie, I but I managed to resist. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, though... I normally don't watch movies like this. Is Jeffrey Dean Morgan in it a lot? Is the movie mindless drivel? Is it overly maudlin? Should I torture myself for the guys or not?
Music and TV
Jan. 4th, 2009 08:00 pmI was reading a post by
moodymuse19 today, and it got me to thinking...
TV shows use music all the time, sometimes really well, and sometimes it's just forgettable. Are there songs that were so well used within the show that you will always associate with a particular TV fandom now? Songs that were such inspired choices that they are permanently etched in your mind, meshed with a character or a scene (other than the obvious theme songs)? For me, "Solitary Man" by Johnny Cash will always make me think of SGA now. "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" by CCR is inextricably linked to SG-1. "I Can't Decide" by the Scissor Sisters will always make me think of Doctor Who.
And of course, there's this, from Ally McBeal:
:D
Any songs like that for you all?
