Hi, nostalgia!
Dec. 29th, 2008 02:24 amYes, I just posted, but I wanted to share this. I was going through my old posts, retagging, and I ran across an old post about Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis. Here's what it said:
But tomorrow will be squeeable, because both SG-1 and Atlantis are debuting!! Woo-hoo! I can hardly wait to see Ben Browder's new character. It's strange...I thought I'd be more upset about losing Richard Dean Anderson, but I'm actually fine with it. I don't think the lack of RDA will squelch my love for the Jack/Daniel pairing (although I'll be looking for slashiness between Mitchell and Daniel).
As for Atlantis, I'm pumped because, as I understand it, PM will be a credited cast member now! About time!
Kind of bittersweet, considering how much has changed since I posted that.
* Cam Mitchell is like a comfy shirt. I can't imagine the franchise without him.
* I still ship Jack and Daniel. I'm not sure that'll ever change. :)
* Both shows have been taken from us.
* Amanda has her own show.
* We've had two SG-1 movies and are waiting for more.
* Elizabeth became part of a really convoluted storyline.
* And then there's Carson. That's still a bitter pill for me.
Oh, I'm going to go wash this nostalgia down with some Dr. Pepper.
