Today was a good day. I met Jessica, Keisha, Jason, Rob, Beth, and their little boy at Chipotle for lunch. After lunch, Jessica and I went to see Twilight. Neither of us have read the book, but we're generally in favor of attractive vampires, so we went to see what all the fuss was about. Both of us enjoyed it, and I went to buy the book after the movie. I don't know that it's worth the stampedes I heard about, but it's an enjoyable story.
There were loads of trailers, but only two stuck out for me. One was the trailer for Push. It's good a good cast (takes a moment to drool over Chris Evans), and generally looks like my kind of movie.
The other was The Spirit, which I'll squee about, partially in capslock, below.
All in all, I had a good time and ate yummy food! :D
This seems like an appropriate time to answer the Writer's Block:

THIS, BABY! THIS RIGHT HERE! I've been looking forward to this since I first saw the teaser last year. Now they have a more complete trailer for it:
And one of the best thing about it is that it stars one of my favorite pretty men, Gabriel Macht. And there are shirtless scenes. Yay!
CHRISTMAS DAY! MARK IT DOWN! (Though I'll probably wait until the day after.)
Like I said, it's a good time to be a geek.
As for a movie I will not go see? The crap remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still. We were talking about that at lunch, actually. The original version was brilliant and right for the era. This new version? Just go to IMDB and look at the trailer. They've turned it into an action movie, which is was NEVER meant to be.
