Stargate thinkies
Sep. 7th, 2008 12:27 pm* After having had time to mull over the cast comments about the cancellation of SGA, I'm ticked off and sad all over again. I can't help but think the cancellation had something to do with renegotiating the actors' contracts or something. I don't know that for sure; it's just a gut feeling.
* I still want to support the ongoing franchise, but I also don't want to get attached to SGU only to have the station pull the plug as unceremoniously as they did with SGA and with SG-1. I guess we'll wait and see who the cast is and how much in tune the show is with the Stargate legacy.
* I'm glad Amanda Tapping has moved on to Sanctuary. I think she's a terrific actress, and I've missed seeing her on a regular basis. I hope Kavan Smith and Ryan Robbins get picked up as recurring characters for the show. They seem like the two most likely guest characters from the webisodes to recur.
* Plus, I've gone from having Kavan Smith in The 4400 and SGA at the same time to apparently nothing, so the thought of him not being in a regular series anymore makes me cranky. Especially since I doubt they'll do much with him in any upcoming movies.
* I love David Hewlett, and every time he opens up his mouth, I love him more. The big old sexy nerd.
* I'm still waiting for confirmation on that third SG-1 movie. I need to see Jack, Daniel, Sam, Teal'c, Cam, Vala, and Landry again. Otherwise, I might have to go emo soon and marathon while drinking Mike's Hard Lemonade and eating snack mix. And that would be a sad sight, indeed.
* Is Hermoid still alive? Have there been any sightings of him or mention of him still being on Daedalus since "Unending?"
* It's recently hit me that we'll never see General Hammond again. :(
