Early morning rambling

Right. So I've been up all night. I had an 8 am class to teach this morning, and I was like PANIC! I won't wake up! So I stayed up all night. Consequently, I spewed out the Reformation at Mach speed--I talk fast when I'm tired. I also talk fast when I'm excited, and I have a confession to make: I squee over history. There, I said it. I am a history geek who gets goofy with excitement when I talk about nationalism in Germany or political philosophies of the Enlightenment. I love this stuff, and I get excited to share it with the students.

The students seem like good ones, though. They had questions and a couple of them stayed behind to chat. Overall, it was a good first day.

And since it took me an unrealistic amount of time to type "philosophies" and "Enlightenment," I think I might need to go crash for a while.

And eat. My tummy wants food.
