I can has break now plz????

I want this semester to be OVER!

* I never get any sleep. Case in point--it's now 2:08 am in Ohio, and I have yet to get to bed. I have to be up at 8 am at the latest to get to the school and teach.

* I have had no time to do my laundry. I've got one clean shirt left--well, two, but one of them is horizontal stripes and that's just not going to happen. So I'll have to come home tomorrow and do laundry between my classes and working at the other place. And since the laundry facilities are crappy, the clothes probably won't get dry, and I'll just have to go buy a new outfit for the night job, because I can't wear jeans, and my dress pants aren't clean. I finished those off today.

* I haven't had time to clean my apartment. It's a mess right now, and I have no time to pick anything up.

* I still have to sign up for my summer class, but again... I have no time. I had planned to do that tonight, but I had to write a term review sheet that most of the students probably won't use anyway.

* I haven't had time to just sit down and relax in weeks, and my writing has been put on the back-burner for far too long.

I need a break ASAP. I plan on doing nothing this weekend but vegging, watching SGA, and getting a Sheppard/Lorne fic finished. And drinking. I might do that, too, especially since I had to miss the trip to see the band at the bar last weekend because of my illness.

Yeah, I might be going without sleep tonight. It's 3:10 am, and I'm not any closer to falling asleep. Moreover, on my app for that class? It wants to exact date I started my first college course. That was eight years ago. How should I know? It's not like it's listed on my advising transcript. Maybe it's on my official one? Of course, I have no idea where that is, since I moved and all.

Updatey stuff

What I want to be doing: Sleeping, like Rodney in the icon

What I am doing: I have to grab some food, a shower, and do some laundry. If I have time, I might collapse in bed.

Work should be easy enough tonight, because I have to go to an Industrial Electronics presentation--nice little break in the routine. Basically, I'm judging and advising them on their rhetorical style, which is good, because I know nothing about Industrial Electronics.

I wound up buying a new outfit for tonight. I actually wanted to buy a couple of new outfits, but I didn't feel like standing in the store looking for a pair of jeans I liked, so I just grabbed a pair of beige pants and a shirt. When I went up to the register, I held up the pants and shirt and handed them directly to her, at which point, she proceeded to sit them down on the messy register anyway. Le sigh.

On Friday, I'm going to play my Civ students some Aquarium (Boris Grebenshikov's Russian rock band). I thought it would be fun for the last day, and we got to talking about rock and roll under the Iron Curtain today, so I might as well let them hear some of it.

In the other class, I might play some Civil Rights songs. I wanted to do a bit on Vietnam protest songs, but we didn't get far enough.

I'm totally ready for this semester to be over. My stress level is at an all-time high, and I just want to breathe.

Okay, off to eat and shower and wash some duds.
