We had a bit of business at work this morning, but we were relatively slow. I actually had quite a bit to do in the way of paperwork, though, so I was grateful for the respite.
After work, a bunch of us went out to Rockne's for an early dinner. I had broccoli cheese soup, a salad, and a strawberry daquiri. Yummy!
I went over to the aunt and uncle's to get my mail and give them a check for the car repairs I had done a couple months ago. Also, I wanted to figure out what to get my mom for Christmas, and it looks like I'm stuck with the requisite "clothes," as everything else on her list has been claimed already. I tell you, I'm not excited about Christmas this year. I want to be, but recently, I've felt like I'm not wanted there. I don't know if I'm even going to get anything for Christmas from my family. They told me not to buy anything for any of them...
Is it so wrong to want to feel like I matter to people? I mean, it's not a material thing. I can always buy stuff for myself. It's just... well, to use an apt, though tired cliche: "It's the thought that counts."
So anyway, tonight is the new Stargate: Atlantis! Yay! And double yay that Kavan Smith is listed in the guest credits!!
I've started sketching out some fics, including a Lorne/Daniel one. I can't wait for my break to officially start!
