Hollywoodland
Sep. 8th, 2006 07:36 pmAfter some argument with myself, I decided to go see Hollywoodland. I have to say, it was a fantastic movie. I went to see it at Downer Theatre, the oldest operating movie theatre in Milwaukee. It's a really cool theatre. It was built in 1915, and has all of this amazing architectural detail.
Anyway, the film stars Adrien Brody, Ben Affleck, and Diane Lane, and it looks at the death of actor Superman George Reeves. Maybe he killed himself, maybe he was murdered. It's hard to say. There's a lot more to the movie than just an examination of the Reeves case, but my sandwich just arrived, so go see it for yourself! Adrien Brody was amazing, as usual, and I was impressed by Ben Affleck (who usually runs hot or cold for me).
Totally worth seeing!
