Today's my birthday! Go me!!
My cousin came to get me last night. She took me to my hometown to hang out and see family and my old bosses. They had an impromptu gathering up at one of the bars and brought out a cake. Another of my aunts made me a cake, so I made out in the cake department.
I pretty much got money. Also, a James Blunt CD I've been salivating over.
My cousin and I stayed up until 4 AM to watch Brokeback Mountain. She'd never seen it before, so it was fun seeing it with a BBM virgin. And yes, she loved the movie.
My cousin's (FIVE) kids are adorable!! The two boys (ages 8 and 11) are apparently in some kind of junior military organization called the Young Marines. They even send these kids to boot camp for two week and make them wear uniforms.
When I got back this afternoon, I went up to see one of my cousins and yet another aunt and uncle. They came up from West Virginia to visit my grandma and see everyone.
I didn't do an update about Jericho, Criminal Minds, or CSI, so here are small commentaries.
Yay! Heather finally took action and kissed Jake!
Robert and his family are getting interesting. The dynamic between Robert and his ex-wife is way more engrossing than I thought it would be.
I'm glad Dale told off Gracie Lee. She's getting way too mercenary...to the point that I find the character unpleasant.
I'm warming up to Stan and Mimi. Well, I liked Stan all along, but I'm warming up to the ship.
Wow, this was a good one. Granted, it wasn't easy to watch, but it was good.
Finally, I get to learn something about JJ.
Is there something brewing between Hotch and JJ? I sensed some chemistry between them, and I know Hotch has marital issues at this time.
Nick and Greg spoke to each other, and the sun didn't eclipse into the moon!
So Gil is having chronic migraines. Is this a sign of deeper problems? He's supposed to be in less episodes, yeah?
Tension between Gil and Greg? Oh noes. Will this signal a bunch of Greg/Gil fics?
It sounds like we might hear more about Greg's experience later on. I'm pretty much spoiler-free, so I don't know.
Overall, this was a great episode.
