List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now. 1. "Patience," by GNR: I've always loved this song's simplicity. It takes me back to my high school days...which actually kind of sucked, to be honest. But still, when I hear this song, I swell up with feelings of nostalgia. And yes, I whistle along.
2. "Stir it Up," by Bob Marley: This is one of those songs that should be playing when you and your significant other are pulling into your drive at night, and everything is right with the world.
3. "Shine," by David Gray: Did anyone on my flist think I was going to make a list that didn't include David Gray? When I write, I often put a song on repeat and listen to just that one until I'm finished with the story. This particular song is really good for angst.
4. "Catch the Wind," by Donovan: I just love Donovan to bits. I've heard other people try to sing this song, and it never sounds quite as sweet.
5. "Sitting in Limbo," by Jimmy Cliff: I love Jimmy Cliff as much as I love Bob Marley. I stop whatever I'm doing when this song comes on, so I can just listen.
6. "Fascination Street," by the Cure: Talk about nostalgia. I was one of those spike-haired teenagers who sat in her room after school and stared at her poster of the Cure, thinking how cool Robert Smith's hair looked. My favorite Cure songs change a lot, but right now, I'm digging this one.
7. "Under the Milky Way," by the Church: Yeah, I don't have a reason. I just love it.
